Classic period pinakion (Plate) 5th Century BC. The plate is decorated with a main image of Poseidon (God of the Sea) on waves holding the trident and surrounded by dolphins. The inscription above reads ΑΜΑΣΙΣ Μ ΕΠΟΙΕΣΕΝ ΚΑΛΟΣ ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝ which means that the original vase was made by the famous potter ΑΜΑΣΙΣ and the pictured God is Poseidon who is described as ΚΑΛΟΣ – Beautiful, Handmade and handpainted with the ancient technique of reduction by J.Kyromitis in 2002. The vase is signed and dated by the artist.
