Red-figured classic crater
Red-figured classic crater (vase for mixing water and wine) 450 BC. Decorated with meanders on top for eternity and vine leaves on the handles. On one side we see Hermes (messenger of the gods) and Hera (Queen of the gods and wife of Zeus). On the other side, we see a satyr (lower god with a tail) follower of Dionysus with Nike (Goddess of victory). Handmade and hand painted with the ancient technique of reduction.
