Corinthian Period hydria (water pitcher) 650 BC. The decoration of the vase is divided into four friezes. Featuring different animals of Greek mythology like swans for beauty, lions for power, wild goats for freedom and Sphinx for protection. The top side of the handle are incised comedy masks while on the ether side of the pitcher are two incised eyes for good luck. Handmade and handpainted exclusively in our workshop with the ancient technique of reduction.
